ADA-Compliant Concrete Ramps
Accessible Concrete Ramp Installation for Public, Commercial & Residential Properties
Accessibility isn’t just about checking a box—it’s about creating safe, smooth, and usable spaces for everyone. At CP Fisher & The Mud Slingers, Inc., we specialize in installing ADA-compliant concrete ramps across Spokane, Liberty Lake, Coeur d’Alene, and surrounding areas.
Our ramps are built to exact ADA standards, designed for durability, and carefully installed to ensure compliance, safety, and long-term performance. Whether it’s a new commercial build, a public facility upgrade, or a home in need of accessibility improvements, we pour ramps that do their job right.
What Makes an ADA Ramp Compliant?
- Slope: The ramp must not exceed a 1:12 slope—1 foot of run for every 1 inch of rise—to ensure safe and manageable access.
- Width: Minimum clear width of 36 inches, with wider widths often used in public or commercial settings.
- Surface: Concrete provides a stable, firm, and slip-resistant surface that stands up to heavy use and changing seasons.
- Handrails: Installed on both sides when needed, handrails are mounted 34 to 38 inches above the ramp surface for grip and stability.
- Landings: Required at the top, bottom, and intermediate sections of longer ramps. These must be level and at least 60 inches in length and width.
- Guardrails & Edge Protection: Added when there’s a drop-off to prevent falls, especially on elevated or open-sided ramps.
Where We Install ADA Concrete Ramps
- Commercial Ramps: Entrances, exits, and service areas in businesses throughout Spokane Valley, Airway Heights, and Post Falls.
- Municipal Ramps: Public access points at schools, libraries, and city facilities—often in combination with ADA steps and sidewalks.
- Residential Ramps: Front steps, garage entrances, or patio access for residents with mobility needs in homes across Eastern Washington and North Idaho.
- Curb Ramps: Sloped transitions between sidewalks and parking lots or roads, ideal for pedestrian access and stroller/wheelchair usability.
